Houston Middle School Car Line Information
MORNING DROP-OFF: You will enter and exit from Wolf River Blvd., looping around the first parking lot toward the back of the school. You will then loop around to the right following the cones all the way around the first set of parking spaces in the far back parking lot. You will then come back up and around to the gym door in the existing building and continue to the front driveway. (This is all mapped out with the blue line and black arrows.)
Your student may exit your car starting at the gym door to the front drive where there is sidewalk (green line). DO NOT let your student out at any other location because there will not be a door open for them to come in the building. DO NOT join car rider line from the Johnson Road entrance. Bus drop-off and pick-up will be at that location. AFTERNOON PICK-UP: After-school pick-up will be the same on the east side of the building. It is important for everyone to follow this flow of traffic. If you have any questions, please reach out to Sara Strickland, sara.strickland@gmsdk12.org.

CAR LINE REMINDERS: The more efficient the car rider line is, the faster you are able to get in and out. Here are some reminders:
- Please pull all the way forward to the driveway of the front circle. Do not stop at the back door or the 200 hallway door to let students off. This is to help get more students out of their cars.
- Students may get out in the morning if your car is stopped and next to the sidewalk. Do not let your students get out if there is no sidewalk. This is a safety issue.
- All students must enter and exit their cars through the passenger side (front or back door). This is also for their safety in case cars are in the middle lane.
- Students should be ready to exit their cars by the time the car is at a complete stop. Students still getting all of their belongings together will cause car line to become backed up.
- Please be patient and kind to the car line teachers. If someone asks you to move up so we can get more cars in the line, please do so.
