GMSD Mask Requirement

U.S. District Court Judge, Sheryl H. Lipman, issued a temporary restraining order, which prohibits school districts from enforcing Governor Bill Lee's Executive Order No. 84. The judge’s ruling removes the parent-opt out from the Shelby County Health Department’s mask-mandate.
As of Tuesday, September 7th, masks are mandated for all person(s) vaccinated and unvaccinated while indoors in a GMSD school building.
*If your child has a valid CDC exemption and is unable to wear a mask, please reach out to your school administration. Documentation from a medical provider specifically listing a CDC exemption MUST be provided per the language of the SCHD.

Houston Middle School Car Line Information
MORNING DROP-OFF: As you enter from Wolf River Boulevard, do not stop to let your child exit until the line in front of you stops. When the line stops and if you are along the sidewalk marked with the yellow line shown above, you may let your child out of the vehicle. Car riders may enter any door marked with a happy face on the diagram.
|
AFTERNOON PICK-UP: Follow same guidelines as above, looking for your child who will (hopefully) be watching for your car. Stop when the line stops and students will get in cars all along the sidewalk marked with the yellow line in the graphic above.
